Is Promptsson really free?
Yes. The prompt manager, starter library, boards, diagrams, export, and import are free to use. There is no account or paid tier.
No account. No sync. No paywall.
Keep reusable AI prompts in one searchable place, turn variables into forms, and record which prompts work well. Your library remains in your browser until you choose to move it.
Real structure, without another account to manage.
Chat is good at answering. It is bad at filing.
Reuse without duplicate copies.
{{topic}}, {{audience}}, or any named placeholder inside a template. Promptsson finds each variable and creates a focused form, so the instruction stays stable while the input changes.Prompt management should make the second run faster, not turn prompt writing into database administration.
Give the prompt a job-based title, place it in a category, and keep the exact wording that produced a good result.
Replace the parts that change with {{named_fields}}. Promptsson builds the fill-in form automatically.
Copy the finished prompt into any AI model, then record the model, rating, and one note for the next run.
Local-first by architecture
Promptsson stores your workspace in the browser's IndexedDB. There is no user database, background sync, analytics feed, or remote prompt vault. Export gives you one portable file when you want a backup.
Temporary agent snapshots are separate and deliberate: you choose one prompt, card, board, or diagram selection; the first successful read deletes it, and an unread snapshot expires after about two minutes.
Clear answers about price, privacy, model support, and backups.

No. Your workspace is stored in IndexedDB in your browser. Content leaves only when you copy it elsewhere, use Open in, or deliberately create a temporary agent snapshot.
Yes. Promptsson stores plain-text prompts rather than tying your library to one model. Copy a finished prompt into whichever model you choose.
Export the workspace as one backup file, move that file however you prefer, and import it in the other browser.
The starter workspace is ready in your browser.
